Match Report
Fettes College U11A vs  Craigclowan School
On: Wednesday, 15 Nov 2017
Venue: at Home

The U11 A team played their first game after a successful tour to York. They came up against a strong Craigclowan side and Craigclowan were definitely the more dominate of the sides in the first half. We were caught sleeping early on and Craiglclowan scored two goals in the first five minutes. The Fettes girls showed good resilience and started to play some good hockey and created a number of good chances with Izzy A eventually tapping in a close range shot to score her first of the game. At the other end of the pitch Zoe C and Ava B made some vital tackles with Zoe distributing well from the back. Our second goal of the game came from a lovely pass from Nicole to Imogen who swept the ball high in to the back of the net. Unfortunately, however poor marking in the D lead to Craigclowan scoring their third at the end of the first half. Fettes were a different side in the second half and played with a real intensity and looked dangerous every time they had the ball. Selena H had some great runs through the midfield and Izzy A was again on target to score her second of the match after some good build up play between Imogen and Megan D. The game remained 3-3 in a very end-to-end affair until the last minute when Craigclowan managed to break through our defence and take the win in the dying seconds of the match. A 4-3 loss but a very positive second half performance and some lovely team goals scored.
